A meaningful life begins with a journey of self-discovery.

Explore. Understand. Process. Heal. Grow. Change. Overcome. Flourish.

If you are here, it means you have taken the first step to improve your circumstances. Entering into therapy for the first time or with a new provider can be very uncertain. There is undoubtably a lot of vulnerability that is encouraged in the therapeutic process, so it is helpful if you are in a place of readiness for change. Being curious about the possibilities of what therapy can offer you will allow you to be more open and receptive to the process. It also means that you realize something should change or be different in your life, and you are motivated to obtain whatever that is.

My philosophy of therapy is that it is a place of self-discovery and resiliency through an exploration and reflection of personal values, strengths and goals. My therapeutic approach is very collaborative. I base my understanding of your life and challenges through an attachment perspective (Psychodynamic Therapy) to provide insight and awareness while incorporating perspective shifting (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and skills training (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) to establish change. My goal is to gain an authentic understanding of your story, challenge the patterns that have held you captive, and help you find balance to reach a more fulfilling life. My overall approach is specific to what your goals are for yourself at this point in your life.

I perceive my role as someone who helps individuals reach their highest capabilities, in order to engage in their life and their relationships in a positive manner. I believe good therapy is built on a connection between the therapist and client because it provides a safe space for healing, growth and change. “Good therapy” is warm, but challenging. “Good therapy” allows you to come as you are, to release your burdens, to learn about yourself, and to find a sense of fulfillment. My hope is for you to establish a genuine connection with someone who can set the ground work for your therapeutic journey. If that person is me, I can't wait for us to get started!

My Approach

Virtual therapy is the new therapy.

You might be balancing a full time job with taking care of a family and can’t afford a trip into a therapist’s office. Or you might be working remotely and enjoy the comfort of your own home. In any case, virtual therapy is the most convenient and the most flexible way to do therapy. Since the pandemic, the world of therapy shifted towards virtual sessions, and rest assured, the therapeutic experience is no different than being in person (and this is supported by research). Feel free to roll out of bed in your pajamas or take the call from your car during your lunch break. As long as you’re physically present in California (where I am licensed), we are good to go! Virtual therapy has allowed me to reach individuals all over California, and I believe this has opened up the network of providers for individuals looking for their best match.
